The sky is blue, the sun is rising, birds are flying and I awake.
Oh that I would start my day with a spirited, energy exuding spark.
(Maybe after a shower and some decaf coffee…)
God, you provide all that I need,
even if I think I NEED something more.
Help me to understand that your sufficiency is not the worlds,
that I have been given gifts without measure which I can use
to benefit myself and those around me as well.
Give me the strength to share my gifts, whatrever they are,
even when I feel frail or
worn down or just plain tired and depressed.
Help me to jump for joy so to speak at the sight of a crocus
or the budding of the lilac bush in my yard.
Quicken my breath at the song of a bird.
Reenergize my spirit for each day that I breath,
that I might see you in all that is around me and rejoice.
I pray that you will be with all your children today,
especially those who are in pain of body, mind or soul.
I pray that you will send angels to be with us to
help us feel that we are held close and loved,
even in our darkest days.
Rejoicing, I say,
Amen
